QUARTZ - Engineered Stone
Ranks 7-8 on Moh's hardness scale
Hard and Durable
Quartz does not require sealing due to the resins used in the fabrication process and these slab is relatively uniform, which reduces the chances of cracking. Also, resins in quartz make these countertops more resistant to staining than granite. Quartz is less porous than granite and does not have the inherent flaws that make some granite slabs prone to cracking. May show visible seems.
